My star ingredient: Frozen fish

If I want to eat a piece of fish and it be the star of the show, then I’ll choose fresh. But, if I’m making a pie, a bake, fishcakes, chowder and the like, then bags of frozen fish suit me fine. Along with frozen squid and prawns, they’re one of my store cupboard staples.

I’m all for making life easier and grabbing a bargain.
