Whether you’re an absolute beginner, just need to build your confidence in the kitchen, enjoy cooking and are looking for some tips to level up your skills and knowledge, or would like to have a fun night with friends, my cookery skills sessions are ideal.
I’ll teach you to cook intuitively so you’re not reliant on recipes and a specific set of ingredients, to feel comfortable with the ingredients and equipment you’re working with, what goes well together and how to balance flavours and textures to suit your tastes as well as teaching what to look out for when cooking rather than being prescriptive over timings. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Kitchen Titbits session if we didn’t also incorporate how to make your food (your time and your money) go further!
It’s about having fun in the kitchen, leaving the stress at the door.

You might already know how to make the dish, but don’t let that put you off joining. Whilst cooking I’ll be sharing plenty of tips for saving time, reducing food waste and making your food go further so there’s something for even the most experienced cook. It’s also such a social way of cooking, as we chop and chat!
During the cookalong, we’ll do all the prep together so the meal is all set to finish off when you’re ready to eat.

Small group workshops
Fancy a night with friends or date night with a difference? I offer workshops for two to four people during which we’ll prepare and cook a meal for you all to share whilst I do the clearing up!
Perhaps you’d like to prepare some delicious salads that you can eat all year round, or want to ditch the takeaway, prepare a restaurant style meal on a budget or learn a new cuisine? Or maybe you’d like a ready, steady, cook style challenge and compete against your partner with the same bag of ingredients?
Unfortunately, all face-to-face workshops are currently on hold due to the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions. I’ll be taking bookings again once it is safe to host group meetings.
So that get the most out of our time together, we’ll discuss your goals for the session(s) as well as any dietary requirements and I’ll develop a course that is truly bespoke to your needs.
We can work in person at your house, at a time that suits you or via video call.
Why work at your house? Well, I can see what equipment, space and storage you have so that I can give you suitable suggestions and ways to work with what you’ve got. And, when learning to cook, you’re more likely to be comfortable in your own kitchen with your own equipment and then have the confidence to carry on cooking without me by your side.
