Just as variety for children can be as simple as making a change to their familiar foods, the same is true for adults. Except where for a child it might mean changing a pasta shape or bread product, for adults it can be changing up a familiar dish.
In this case, not only have I switched a traditional cottage pie to a vegetarian one, but I have also spiced up the filling and the topping.
Incidentally, this spicy lentil and vegetable cottage pie is another dish that uses up whatever veg you’ve got left so no excuses for any of it going to waste!
