Beans, lentils and chickpeas are brilliant sources of protein and a perfect way to make your money go further. But introducing children to pulses can be tricky.
Whilst both of my children will eat lentils in some dishes, neither will touch chickpeas. Except, that is, when they’re crunchy spiced chickpeas!
They love the texture and flavour of these, they’re fun to eat and to sprinkle over their meal. They’re also great as a part of a snack…and not just for children.
