Knowing recipes for using up ingredients is a great way to build your confidence in the kitchen. 

One ingredient many people are put off buying is the seemingly never ending cabbage! We all know we can use it to make coleslaw but boy can the same old representation of the dish wear thin. 

Ring the changes by pairing your cabbage with other crunchy vegetables – you don’t always have to include carrot and onion – or why not travel the world with your dressings, using some of your store cupboard ingredients and spices? You could visit Thailand with the end of a peanut butter jar and a lime or you could pack your bags and travel to India with me by making this curried coleslaw!
