I commonly find that vegetables are the challenge for children, but for some children fruits are hard to stomach.
Often this is because the texture and flavour of soft fruits, in particular, can be inconsistent and therefore off-putting as the child never knows, when they pick up a fruit to eat, whether or not it is going to be the flavour and texture they like.
Offer fruits in another way which means there will be some consistency and it can make them more accessible.
One way to do that is to offer a smoothie. And, if it is still too much of a challenge to drink a smoothie, you could try freezing it in lollipop moulds and offer it as an ice lolly. I haven’t met many that won’t entertain one of those!
