I’m doing my dream job

I was asked the other day in a business support group I’m a member of, what my dream job would be.

I can honestly say that, as a family mealtimes mentor, I’m doing my dream job! I have found my calling, what I have been put on this planet to do, and I absolutely love it.

When there is stress at mealtimes and your children aren’t eating as well as you’d hoped, this can have a huge impact on life in general. It can take up a lot of headspace; what you’re going to cook and whether your child will eat it, concerns over their health and whether they’re getting adequate nutrition can prey on your mind from the moment you wake up. Not eating the meals you enjoy can make you miserable and the restrictive diet make you feel uncomfortable at best, ill at worst. Your child’s poor eating can affect their behaviour and sleep and it can prevent you from living life to the full, avoiding social situations where food is likely, and more.

Sometimes all that’s needed is for me to lend a listening, understanding and empathetic ear followed by suggesting some small and simple actions to take, to totally transform mealtimes for my clients. For others, it’s a longer process but I’m there to hold their hands through it all and to show them the achievable stepping stones to their goal.

As we create healthier, happier, stress-free family mealtimes together, I get to see my clients’ shoulders drop, their heads held higher, the smiles return to their faces, their confidence grow and to share in their celebrations of the progress made. How amazing is that?!

Message me if you’d like to know more about how we can work together. Or, take a look at the courses and resources I offer.
