Food waste was down in lockdown

Did you know that in lockdown, there was a 43% reduction in the amount of food wasted. We are now, however, back up to pre-pandemic levels*.
During lockdown, we were at home more, in the early days food was hard to get hold of, we were cooking from scratch more. As restrictions have eased, so we have regained our freedoms and gone back to our old ways.
What new habits did you pick up in lockdown that you could continue? Did you start meal planning? Can you continue preparing your lunch and taking it to work? Will you remember to freeze food that you can’t use before it’s too late?
