Have you tried doing your meal planning over a family mealtime? Here’s why I think you should give it a go:
- You’re sharing the responsibility with all the family – it’s not yet another job that lands on your, already overflowing, plate
- Tagging the new activity onto one you’re already (automatically) doing on a daily basis helps you embed this new meal planning habit which means it’s going to be easier for you to stick with it
- Your children can decide what the family will eat on some of the days – children like to feel in control and having a hand in the decision-making supports this
- Your children will be more accepting of and willing to try dishes you’ve chosen which are more challenging to them if they know they’re coming and can be prepared.
