When I started Kitchen Titbits, three years ago (it was my business birthday at the beginning of the month) I took what had been a hobby and a blog, something I’d been doing ad hoc to help friends, family and friends of friends and decided to give it a go as a business. I saw a gap in the market for what I wanted to teach people.
I feel privileged to have been brought up in the kitchen with my mum and grandma but so many people haven’t had that opportunity, or the chance to learn about food at school, and simply haven’t learned the fundamental life skills that I share.
I’d like children to have the opportunity to grow up with a love of food, for everyone to be able to eat well, no matter what their budget or the time available to prepare food, to share practical tips for saving time and energy in the kitchen and making tasks like meal planning and reducing food waste work for everyone no matter what’s going on in their lives.
All of this makes enjoying family mealtimes possible.
I was recently interviewed by Paul Essery, My Sales Guru, about my business story so if you’d like to know more about how I got into running my own business, why not watch the interview.
