If there’s so much going on this week that you’re exhausted or you’re just feeling overwhelmed about what to cook each day, give yourself a break and go back to basics!
Yes, it’s great to include plenty of variety into your weekly meals and try new recipes but not at the expense of your sanity.
Sometimes we get so caught up with finding ideas and inspiration that we forget about serving leftovers, plain old bangers and mash with some veg, beans and cheese with a jacket potato, scrambled eggs on toast or a picnic lunch.
We shouldn’t feel guilty about serving the easy options and in fact many are really good lunch choices that can often be forgotten.
But, if you can find a little time in your week to do some planning, a lot of the stress and overwhelm around mealtimes will go. You’ll know what you’re preparing each day and that you’ve got what you need for each meal. You’ll have been able to spot where you can make efficient use of your time and energy. You’ll be able to work around hectic evenings or extra mouths to feed.
