My children and I love flapjack but I’m always shocked by the amount of sugar and syrup that goes into them. We regularly make fruit-based oat snacks which contain no sugar but they’re not flapjack, and daddy refuses to eat them!
I’ve tried several recipes for no or low sugar flapjacks and they have been a disaster! So, I was pleased to find this recipe, a recipe which actually works, for low-sugar flapjacks, which get their sweetness from honey and dried fruits.
I like to throw in a variety of seeds and use any dried fruits I have in the cupboard.
Easy to make, fun for the children to get involved with, no special equipment needed and made using store cupboard items. Add them to your half term activities list!
