Following my own advice

Being stuck at home, I imagine a lot more of us are preparing meals each day, several times a day, for the whole family. This can take its toll. Working with food, meal planning and getting organised in the kitchen is my job and yet, with everything that I’m juggling right now, even I’m finding it a struggle some days.

It got me thinking about a post I wrote a while ago about how to bring back the joy of cooking and eating.

I’m going to follow some of my own advice; I’m going back to meal planning lunches as well as dinners (I’m ok with winging it for breakfast, except at the weekends when we look forward to something of a treat), I’m going to delve into my cookery books for new inspiration, I’m going to make use of my freezer supplies once a week to take the strain off one night and I’m going to put music on again when I’m cooking. I stopped the music for a while as cooking was the only time I had with my thoughts but now I feel like I need some music to lift my spirits…and add some extra movement into my day dancing around the kitchen no doubt to shouts of ‘mum, please stop singing and dancing’!!!
