Focus on the joy of food and the nutrition will naturally follow!
I like to think about mealtimes as family time, one of the few times when we can come together, catch up, see what everyone has been up to, plan some activities for the weekend and simply enjoy some quality time together.
Reframing family mealtimes to family time, takes the emphasis away from the food and focusses more on the enjoyment of our time together.
If we allow ourselves and our children to have fun at mealtimes instead of pressurising them to eat, they’ll be in the right mindset to start to explore more foods. And with exploring comes eating.
