Preparing foods to help your child learn to like them

If your child won’t eat cooked carrot rings, does it mean they don’t like carrot?

No!

Some children have a preference for warm foods, others cold. Some have a preference for soft foods, others crunchy. Some prefer round shapes, others sticks.

Children can be really quite specific about how they’ll eat certain foods and whilst it might appear at first that they don’t like a food, with some experimentation, you can find a way to prepare it that suits your child.

This might seem like a lot of work and a bit of a faff, but remember it isn’t forever, and a little investment now means they’re going to be eating better and gradually more open to change and new things. It’s surely worth it?
