I used to worry about everything from whether he was eating enough to how on earth he’d survive without all the vitamins and minerals we need to whether he’d be just eating ham sandwiches when he was 18 and (hopefully) leaving home for uni! I also used to worry about what I’d feed him and yet my husband I still enjoy the foods we like.
But what stressed me out the most was spending time in the kitchen lovingly preparing a meal just for it to be met with a tantrum and outright refusal to eat without even tasting it and sometimes without even seeing it.
I don’t feel any of this any more. We eat a huge range of foods – check out my weekly meal plans to see what we’re all eating – and my son has gradually increased the foods he enjoys. I’m not stressed at mealtimes, coming to the table calm.
In my ‘How to feed your fussy eater’ interactive online programme, we cover how to overcome all of this and more. I’ll equip you with an armoury of techniques, words and activities so that you can turn mealtimes around. If you’re ready to join me and learn how to transform mealtimes from stressful to stress-free, the new term starts on 7 September.
