That you can grow veggies from scraps that would normally end up in the bin?
We’ve been growing spring onions from the root end of the onions. We put them in a glass on the windowsill with a little water (see stories for pics). The roots have regrown and green onion is springing up from the discarded end! We’ve tried Little Gem lettuce too and I know of success with the seeds from a tomato.
You could have a go with the top of a carrot or parsnip, a sprouting potato, the seeds from a butternut squash or a pepper, or why not experiment with seeds, stones and pips from fruit?
