What is Bristol Food Connections?
Bristol Food Connections is a city-wide festival which brings people and good food together in true Bristol fashion. Events of all kinds, hosted by the people of Bristol for the people of Bristol, will take place across the city from the 12th to the 23rd June. Visit the Bristol Food Connections to see a full list of what’s happening, when and where.
This year, I am excited to not only attend some events during the festival but also to host my own. My ‘Stress-free family mealtimes’ event will take place on Saturday 15 June from 11am to 1pm at the Sundial Kitchen.
Who’s behind Bristol Food Connections?
Bristol Food Connections is a community interest company that has been set up to support the festival. They work in partnership with the BBC, Bristol City Council, UWE, Watershed, Destination Bristol and many others to build a stronger network of people working together for a healthy and independent local food system. They ask the people of Bristol to submit their ideas for events and support them to host the events as part of the festival in addition to the events they manage themselves.
What makes it great?
The festival highlights what Bristol does so well; bringing people together through food and celebrating all the talented people, businesses and organisations that make the city and its food culture unique.
How can you support Bristol Food Connections?
There are several ways in which you can support Bristol Food Connections from attending some of the events, some of which are free, to volunteering, sponsoring, donating or partnering with the festival team.
It would be great to see some of you at my ‘Stress-free family mealtimes’ event on the 15th June.
