I’ve got some statistics to share with you:
UK households waste 4.5m tonnes of food each year, worth £14 billion and equating to £700 a year or approximately £60 a week for an average family with children.
Why? Because 35% of households don’t plan their meals, 24% of people don’t look in the fridge before they head to the shops and 74% of shoppers don’t make a shopping list.
One of the best ways to help you reduce your food waste, save time and energy in the kitchen, make shopping quicker, easier, cheaper and more efficient and to improve the variety in your diet is to meal plan.
