Preparing for isolation: Tip #1

Each day, I’m going to be posting a tip to help prepare for self-isolation and to deal with the empty supermarket shelves.

Tip one is to make an inventory of everything that you’ve already got in your fridge, freezer and store cupboard. You’d be surprised at how much is actually in there even if you think you are running low on food!

Plan some meals that you can make with what you’ve got. There may be ingredients that you need but don’t have – can you substitute them for something you do have?

What do you still need to buy? There’s no need to panic buy. When you look at what you’ve already got and what you can make from it, you’ll see that there’s probably only a small amount you actually need.

If you need help working out what to make with what you’ve got, get in touch!
