A kitchen makeover

We’re not talking DIY SOS or Sarah Beeny’s How to Sell Your Home but some simple re-organisation that could transform your kitchen and your ability to take your food planning to the next level.

Jenny was convinced her cupboards were full and there was no way that, with such a tiny kitchen, she could build up a well-thought out and stocked store-cupboard of staples and useful ingredients to make her food planning easier and her meals more interesting.

Let’s see shall we?

I think Jenny can definitely go shopping now and stock up on some basic ingredients! All it took was a little tidying and re-arranging.

I do like that Jenny has started recycling her takeaway boxes to store open packets of lentils. This is an excellent idea which can help make it easy for you to see what’s in the cupboard as well as ensure open packets don’t spill their contents onto the shelf. You could do the same with nuts and seeds, dried beans, sugar or rice.

I’m going to get her started on her fridge and freezer next!
