PTFA CookalongWhether you’re an absolute beginner, just need to build your confidence in the kitchen, enjoy cooking and are looking for some tips to level up your skills and knowledge, or would like to have a fun night with friends, my cookery skills sessions are ideal.

I’ll teach you to cook intuitively so you’re not reliant on recipes and a specific set of ingredients, to feel comfortable with the ingredients and equipment you’re working with, what goes well together and how to balance flavours and textures to suit your tastes as well as teaching what to look out for when cooking rather than being prescriptive over timings. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Kitchen Titbits session if we didn’t also incorporate how to make your food (your time and your money) go further!

Online cookalong

Cookalong behind scenesLet’s have some fun in the kitchen and cook together! Got a budding young chef in the house? Why not join in together?

Follow me as I show you how to create a delicious meal the Kitchen Titbits way.

You might already know how to make the dish, but don’t let that put you off joining. Whilst cooking I’ll be sharing plenty of tips for saving time, reducing food waste and making your food go further so there’s something for even the most experienced cook. It’s also such a social way of cooking, as we chop and chat!

The online meeting details for our session, as well as ingredients and equipment lists, will be emailed to you in advance of the cookalong.

One-to-one courses

Sarah Alder Kitchen TitbitsSo that get the most out of our time together, we’ll discuss your goals for the session(s) as well as any dietary requirements and I’ll develop a course that is truly bespoke to your needs.

Why work at your house? Well, I can see what equipment, space and storage you have so that I can give you suitable suggestions and ways to work with what you’ve got. And, when learning to cook, you’re more likely to be comfortable in your own kitchen with your own equipment and then have the confidence to carry on cooking without me by your side.

Cost: starts at £120 (excluding ingredients)

Please get in touch to let me know how you’d like me to help and we’ll take it from there.

Small group workshops

Glass noodle saladFancy a night with friends or date night with a difference? I offer small group workshops.

Perhaps you’d like to prepare some delicious salads that you can eat all year round, or want to ditch the takeaway, prepare a restaurant style meal on a budget or learn a new cuisine? Or maybe you’d like a ready, steady, cook style challenge and compete against your partner with the same bag of ingredients?

Cost: starts at £175 (excluding ingredients)

Please get in touch to let me know how you’d like me to help and we’ll take it from there.

The food I made with Sarah was really good – after she left, I ate all of one salad and then, meaning only to try another one, took a bite and couldn’t resist eating all of it! I feel confident now in knowing how much of various ingredients to add to create a taste I enjoy. I’ve tried cooking from books before but never had any success with the recipes, spending hours cooking and not enjoying the results at the end of it.

Sarah gave me the confidence to shop and cook. I never would have thought I would cook for myself let alone spend the occasional weekend batch cooking and stocking up my freezer with homemade ready meals!
